When I heard the big news coming in regards to RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars, I hoped it would be an announcement regarding the show’s concept getting a makeover (I despise the concept of the competing queens deciding who should be up for elimination), but it looks like the queens and the Werk room will be sashaying away to a brand new network.

The Mother of Drag(ons) has RuVealed that when the upcoming fifth season of Drag Race: All Stars 5 launches on June 5th, it will be sashaying like a panther on the runway over at Showtime.

In case you were wondering, Showtime and VH1 are both owned by Viacom, and according to Variety, AS5 is heading to the premium cable network to help out Showtime.

While I do agree that Showtime could use a little more queer content on their network, I don’t know how I feel about Drag Race appearing on Showtime, especially when a lot of people don’t even have the channel. Here’s hoping all those viewing parties that are held at every gay bar all over the US has a Showtime subscription.
